Campaign to completely allow split infinitives

Time for proper cheese sandwiches

I am sick of "cheese sandwiches" in which the cheese is grated. These travesties have the consistency of a piece of rotten tripe, but unlike the latter they have absolutely no flavour.

It is time to bring in a law specifying slices -slices, mind- at least 1/4 in or 1 cm thick (and preferably 2 such slices) in each sandwich, with dire and condign penalties for transgressors.
